Most visitors to West Palm Beach, know all about our beautiful beaches, awesome downtown area and our many many museums and other attractions. But what many of you may not know about is one of Palm Beach's best kept secrets. (well not so much a secret if you are an equestrian) What's an Equestrian you ask? I'm so glad you asked. Wellington to be exact, is home to an international equestrian community featuring more than 57 miles of trails. This elaborate trail system provide residents the opportunity for recreation, exercise and transportation throughout the community. Wellington's equestrian trails are designed for multiple uses, including hiking, biking, running and equestrian activities.
The Winter Equestrian Festival happens yearly Jan-April in Wellington, Palm Beach, and is a fun event for the whole family. My son Philip sang the National Anthem at two of their opening ceremonies . The event includes a battle of the sexes, a speed derby, a young rider Grand Prix and so much more. There is a riding Academy which offers the experience of a lifetime. Riders of all ages can come to train and show at the World Renowned FTI Winter Equestrian Festival through the WEF Experience offered by The Palm Beach Riding Academy.
